Finishing Remarks

Apologies for the lateness and brevity: W1 couldn’t quite manage a bump in div 1 and so will start next year top of div 2 (again). M1 had a strong row-over to remain 8th.

Balliol now rowing in a bit of clear water, hertford having pushed away again. Just got to be careful of st antony’s behind, but they should be safe….and they are – a row-over.

M2 are off and racing. Initial reports have Balliol closing in.

I’ve just got down to the river and the first Balliol crew (W3) is already racing and has by the looks of it bumped out. So that’s four bumps in four days and should be blades barring any rubbish rule disallowing them because they were bumped on Wednesday.
M2 up next at 2.

So it’s been finalised that W2 have not been awarded their bump from yesterday. More OURCs bull really, but I won’t go into it here. If you do want to know more there is a forum on ourcs.org.uk where it’s gone into in detail. Needless to say the girls are pretty pissed off at have two bumps in two days taken away.

They just can’t seem to catch a break. W2′s bump on st john’s has been rescinded so they’ll start behind wadham tomorrow with moral blades still on.

M1 were bumped by New today. We rowed poorly to say the least.
On a happier note, W2 were finally, on appeal, awarded their bump and so are on for moral blades (given that their bump yesterday was unfortunately rescinded).
