| Rowing Career / Biography |
Having been assured by my family upon getting into Oxford that rowing involved early mornings and so wasn’t the thing for me, I felt determined to stick it out for at least a term. And now here I am 3 terms later with captaincy, a blade and more stash than you can wave a rigger-jigger at. In my opinion rowing is the most addictive sport you can try; it comprises a perfect balance of hard work and training (and hence immense satisfaction when you achieve your goals) with teamwork and enough socialising to make sure there’s always an excuse not to do actual work.
