Having rowed before coming to Balliol it was inevitable for me. I spent the majority of my time at Balliol with the boat club, both on the river and on the admin side as captain (07-08), and it is within the boat club that my fondest memories lie. It is because of this that I set up the John Blacker Society, in the hope of connection boat club members past and present.
